This year, took place the first National business plan contest for VET graduates, organized by the Center for Entrepreneurial Education and Business Support (CEDA), in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and with financial support from the Foundation Liechtenstein Development Service(LED) . This contest comes as a logical complement to the “Basics of Entrepreneurship” subject, taught in VET institutions. All students in the final year from all over the country were able to participate in this competition with their own business plans developed during the learning the “Basics of Entrepreneurship” subject.
According to the Regulation approved by the Ministry of Education, the contest took place in several stages: local (within the VET institution), regional and national level. On May 13 to 15 , 2015 were held the Regional competitions: for the north region within VET school nr.3 from Bălţi, 23 graduates from 11 instituttions (VET Schools nr. 2, 3 and 5 from Bălți, VET Schools from Corbu, Cuhurești, Soroca, Cupcini, Ocnița, Mărculești, Alexandreni and Florești). For mun. Chisinau the contest was organized within the VET School nr. 8 from Chisinau, where 20 graduates presented their business plans (from VET Schools nr. 1, 2 , 5, 6, 7, 8, 10 from Chisinau). For South and Center regions the presentation was organized within the VET school nr. 6 from Chișinău. 17 Graduates presented their business ideas (from VET Schools nr. 1 and 2 from Cahul, VET Schools from Ștefan Vodă, Căușeni, Rezina and Orhei). The winners and the participants were mentioned with honours and gifts.
The winners of regional contests ( 1st and 2nd places) competed with their business ideas at the national stage, which took place on June 19 in mun. Chisinau. 9 students from 7 institutions (VET schools: no. 2,3 and 5 from Balti, no. 1 from Cahul, no. 8 from Chisinau, VET shool Rezina and Soroca) participated in the national competition .
The jury especially appreciated the participants’ business plans that coincide with the profession they have learned. The winners, teachers and participants were awarded with diplomas and prizes. The following students and their business ideas were mentioned by the jury and the public as the winner of the national contest:
– 1st Place: Sudacevshi Vasile, VET school from Rezina, Planting of shrubs (teacher Sperelup Elena)
– 2nd Place: Buşilă Nina, VET School nr. 8 from Chisinau, Raising quails (teacher Vleju Ana)
– 3rd Place: Cramceanicov Alexandru , VET school nr. 1 from Cahul, Mini ecosystems and ornamental plants (teacher Luţă Diana).
For all the finalists in the national competition, CEDA will provide further support to develop their idea. The young people canapply for a grant program, within the MEEETA III project, where they have the opportunity to receive equipment for their start-ups.
