Training for Employees of Career Guidance Centers (CGC) from AOFM and ANOFM

On September 26, 2017, the Center for Entrepreneurial Education and Business Support (CEDA), in partnership with the Business Women Association from Balti (AFA) and the financial support of the Austrian Development Agency, started the training for Employees of Career Guidance Centers from the Regional Employment Agencies and the National Agency for Employment.

With a welcome speech for the participants came Mrs. Sofia Suleanschi, director of CEDA, Mrs. Raisa Dogaru, ANOFM director and Valentina Lungu, deputy director of ANOFM.

Sofia Suleanschi, Director of CEDA: “I wish the vast majority of young people to work on the labor market in the Republic of Moldova. I know you’re in the process of restructuring, but we want to ease your work by giving you the tools described in the Guide. Our mission is to help young people to find themselves in the labor market of the Republic of Moldova”

Raisa Dogaru: “I am glad we can provide this opportunity with CEDA – training courses to improve professional skills. We need to think well how we use these tools. Questions are very important for the counseling process for employment. Every person comes with his story, and we have to discover it in order to guide him/her in his/her career. ”

On the first day of training, CGC employees were placed in the employee’s situation and applied the SWOT analysis to assess the personal qualities required for employment. The SMART objectives needed to achieve a goal were set.

The second day of training under the REVOCC project continued with discussions on entrepreneurship as a career option. After the subject was analyzed with all its components: general notions, legal framework, business ideas, creativity, etc. the participants developed business ideas based on a distributed subject, and they were convinced that everything was possible and practiced different roles: AOFM specialist, beneficiary, observer. “Now we are sure that it is possible,” they said at the end of the day.

Training continued with the Career Management topic. Intervention plans have been developed for an unemployed person with studies and work experience, a young mother and a high school graduate unintegrated in the education system. INTERESTING, HELPFUL and, most importantly, APPLICABLE !!!

Subsequently, the representatives of the Career Guidance Centers, ANOFM and AOFM Căuşeni, Ungheni, Bălți and Chișinău simulated counseling sessions. The urge of the day was “WHEN YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO AS A SPECIALIST – BE A MAN!”

At the end of the training, Sofia Şuleanschi handed participants a certificate of participation.

The activity took place within the project “Re-Engineering Vocational Orientation and Career Counseling” (REVOCC), implemented by CEDA, in partnership with the National Agency for Employment and the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, and the financial support provided by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA).
