The workshop “Accounting and financial reporting of revenue generated by VET schools”

Center For Entrepreneurial Education And Business Support (CEDA) in partnership with the Republic of Moldova Ministry of Education within “Moldova Employment and Entrepreneurship Education and  Training Activity” project – MEEETA III supported by the Liechtenstein Development Service (LED), organized the “Accounting and financial reporting of revenue generated by VET schools” Workshop, on 24-25 February 2015.

The workshop was attended by directors, accountants and senior foremen of vocational schools and colleges – pilot institutions involved in income generating activities. Participants found the answers on many questions related to accounting and financial reporting of revenues generated by their institutions and their classification in a legal framework.

On the first day of the workshop were discussed the following topics :

-Incomes from production activities of technical and professional schools

-The costs related to production activities of technical and professional schools

-Employee payroll related tax

– The collection method of revenue obtained by public institutions from production or services, or from other economic activities allowed by law

-Rules on the use of cash control device in order to registries revenue collection from economic activities carried out by technical and professional schools

-Mandatory state social and health insurance related with remuneration of employees of technical and professional schools

In the 2nd day of the workshop we were honored with the presence of representatives of the Ministry of Finance : Finances in Education, Culture and Science Directorate and General Directorate of State Treasury, who presented information on the particularities of the budget process, treasury and accounting system regulation in the budget . It was an extremely important and beneficial presence, because VET schools directions had the chance to see their income generation activities through the legal aspect.
