The finals of “The best business plan” has ended

On June 22, 2016 the Centre for Entrepreneurial Education and Business Support (CEDA) held the National Contest “The Best Business Plan”, the 2016 edition.

 

There were 15 best business plans participating at the final stage of the Contest, made and presented by the students of the vocational school of the Republic of Moldova.

 

According to the results of the jury, the first prize went to Ilona Prozor, Chisinau for her business idea of manufacturing garments with handmade applications and Rodion Zaytsev, Chisinau, for bio fireplaces business. The second prize went to Ivan Semionov for unique products of metal business, Grigore Tudorică for pizza business and Diana Neder for for children’ cloths business. Third place was won by Marina Mocanu, for the presentation of idea of bagels’ production, Mihail Popa, for  manufacturing the metal chairs and Denis Ceaicovschii for vegetable carving business. All winners received as gifts laptops, tablets and mobile phones.

 

The jury, consisting of the representatives of the business environment, organizations that manage programs for entrepreneurs, has chosen the winners based on several criteria, including:  the level of contemporaneity, originality of the idea, the degree of innovation, the viability of the business idea, the complexity of SWOT analysis of the business plan, the marketing strategy, the financial plan and the potential of a becoming a start-up business.

 

Sofia Şuleanschi, the executive director of CEDA, noted that this exercise is an examination for students of vocational schools after studying the course “Basics of Entrepreneurship”, which 3 years ago was made as a compulsory course by the Ministry of Education and Liechtenstein Development Service (LED).

 

According to Sofia Şuleanschi, it is important that pupils and students have the opportunity to apply their ideas into practice in a professional manner: with a development of a business plan with necessary analyzes, calculations of funds and risk estimation.

 

“While teaching the Basics of Entrepreneurship in vocational schools, the market opportunities from Moldova and career options has become a reality for graduates. What we really want is to start promoting the studying of entrepreneurship in secondary schools”, said Sofia Şuleanschi.

 

Pius Frick, the representative of LED in Moldova, welcomed the students-finalists and noted that the programs developed in the Republic of Moldova are meant to support the young people to invest their knowledge in the country and helping them to acquire European experience.

 

Cristina Boaghe, the Deputy Minister of Education of the Republic of Moldova said, that among the priorities of the Ministry of Education is the support of studying of entrepreneurship, along with the information technology and foreign languages, because the knowledge of those areas facilitates the employment of the young people. Cristina Boaghe stressed, that all students, who participated in the final competition, are winners and wished them success in business.

 

The contest was organized in several stages; the regional stage was held in 4 regions of the country: South (including Gagauzia), North, Central and Chisinau city. There were registered altogether 70 business plans of the winners of competitions at the vocational school level. Out of those, holders of first and second places were selected for participation at the national contest.

 

The contest “The Best Business Plan”, the 2016 edition is organized under the “Moldova Employment and Entrepreneurship Education and Training Activity” (MEEETA III)  in order to promote entrepreneurship among the students of vocational schools  by evaluating the best business plans developed by them when studying the course  “Basics of Entrepreneurship”.
