Study visit in Vienna – the Austrian experience in orientation / career counselling

Monday, May 18, 2015 was the first day of a study visit in Vienna, Austria. The visit was organized within the “Re-Engineering Vocational Orientation and Career Counselling” (REVOCC) for Moldovan labour force competitiveness project, funded by the Austrian Development Agency and implemented by CEDA in partnership with the Ministry of Education (MoE) and National Employment Agency (ANOFM). Therefore, the formed delegation from members of the REVOCC project team, representatives of MoE and  ANOFM are now in Vienna.

 

The purpose of the visit is to study the Austrian experience in orientation/career counselling services offered by employment agencies and the correlation between education and the labor market. A specific objective of this visit is related to the way of collaboration between schools and employment services.

 

In this context, the delegation are visiting several institutions whose activities cover the field of orientation / career counselling, to analyze best practices. Particularly significant is the communication with practitioners involved in this process at different levels.
