Three VOCC Centers will be opened soon at Cahul, Soroca and Chisinau within the REVOCC project

Within the REVOCC project, funded by the Austrian Development Agency and implemented by CEDA in partnership with the Ministry of Education and ANOFM will be opend 3 VOCC Centres. The centres will be part of district Employment Offices and will provide vocational orientation and career counselling services. These centres will maintain their functions to provide VOCC services to adults, but at the same time actions will be initiated to legalize, institutionalize and further develop the ability to deliver services to the students from the region, bringing closer the school to the labour market and being opened to both categories of clients.

In this context the CEDA team planned and performed visits to the future centres.

Thursday, 29 January 2015, Mrs Sofia Shuleanschi, Mrs Lia Sclifos from CEDA and Mrs Raisa Dogaru from ANOFM have visited the Centre of Soroca, headed by Mr. Vasile Palamari, director of district Employment Office.

VOCC Centres perspectives, ANOFMs contribution in their opening, services that will be provided as well as the requirements for the chosen space to ensure physical access to all beneficiaries were discussed during the visit.

The communication with a grandfather who came at the Soroca’s Employment Office to ask about career opportunities for his nephews constituted a special moment during the visit , what confirms one more time the need of vocational orientation and career counselling services and the expected beneficial role of REVOCC project in their creation.

The vocational school from Soroca, potential beneficiary of REVOCC project, was visited during the same day. . Employment of graduates, creation of a database on the career paths of graduates – ideas reflected also in the Education Code, approved in 2014, were the main topics discussed duringthe visit.
